Residential builders, remodelers, design-build firms and single trade contractors who estimate their own jobs. If you know your pricing, or want to build a pricing structure you can rely on, RQS is designed for you.
Yes. Import your items and assemblies from Excel, including default formulas, and keep your spreadsheet’s order. You can also begin with a starter database and adjust it to your numbers.
It depends on the size of your database and how much of it you already have in a spreadsheet. Most builders start by pricing one real job they’ve already estimated the old way, then compare the two.
No. RQS is built on your numbers and your methods, not generic national costs. That’s what makes the estimates, specs and proposals truly yours.
The beta is free. If RQS later becomes a paid service, beta testers will hear the price at least 30 days before any charge applies, and nobody is ever charged without agreeing to it first.
We’re inviting a small group of builders, GCs and trade partners to price real jobs with RQS and tell us what works and what doesn’t. Your feedback directly shapes the product.
Your data is yours. You can download a full copy of your company’s data at any time. If the beta ends, you’ll get at least 30 days’ notice, and at least 30 days afterwards to download your data.
No. Once you lock an estimate, database changes never move it. If you want to see what would change, pull the updated price report and decide for yourself.
Yes. Every report exports to a Word file you can edit, print or turn into a PDF, with your business name, logo and contact details on the cover.
Yes. Send the estimate for review and your customers pick their options, upgrades and selections online. Then send the proposal or specification, the contract and the payment schedule to sign. You see when they open it, they can ask for changes, and once they sign you get one signed PDF, filed with the job.
Yes. Your team shares one database and one set of estimates, with changes merged as they work.
RQS’s AI tools use Claude, made by Anthropic. Claude drafts specs in your style, fills in assemblies, finds typos and duplicates, sorts new items, and checks an estimate against its scope of work for anything that looks left out. Nothing changes until you accept a suggestion, and owners and admins can switch the AI tools off for their company. The AI tools are never sent your prices or your customers’ contact details. RQS’s own checks also catch $0 items and lines with no quantity.

No. RQS covers everything up to the signed contract, and it works with QuickBooks: bring in your QuickBooks customers, vendors and items, and send each signed job back, as an estimate by job cost code for QuickBooks Desktop or a customer file and line list for QuickBooks Online. Keep using QuickBooks for invoicing, bills and payroll.
RQS is built around residential work. Commercial and heavy civil estimating aren’t a good fit.
RQS builds a schedule, purchase orders and change orders from your estimate. Daily logs and crew management live in the tools you already use.
Yes. Download a complete backup at any time and restore it in one step.
Yes. Items and assemblies export to Excel, and every report exports to Word.
